Measurement, not advice<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Everything on this site is quantitative description of how instruments have behaved. It is not investment advice, not a forecast, not a personal recommendation and not a solicitation. Historical behaviour describes the past; it does not constrain the future, and no measurement here should be read as a prediction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are not authorised or regulated by any financial services regulator and provide no advisory, brokerage or account-management service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Risk warning<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Margined foreign exchange, CFDs, metals and index products are high-risk leveraged instruments. You can lose your entire deposit, and with some providers more than your deposit. Most retail accounts lose money.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Range statistics are not risk limits.<\/strong> A pair with a median 90-pip daily range will occasionally deliver 400. Sizing to the median guarantees eventual failure.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Volatility regimes change.<\/strong> A measurement taken over a calm eighteen months describes a calm eighteen months. Regime shifts arrive without notice.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Correlation is unstable.<\/strong> Pairs that behave independently in normal conditions frequently move together in stressed ones, exactly when the diversification was being relied upon.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Spreads widen.<\/strong> The cost figures here are measured in normal conditions; around scheduled data, at rollover and in thin holiday liquidity they can multiply.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Exotic pairs gap.<\/strong> Overnight and weekend gaps in exotics can exceed any stop distance a retail trader would use.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Data limitations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every study on this site is dependent on its data source, its sample period and its definitions. Where these differ from yours, results will differ from yours \u2014 usually for a reason that is worth finding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Source.<\/strong> Retail broker feeds differ from interbank data in both price and timestamp. The source used is named in each article.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Sample period.<\/strong> Stated in every study. Short samples are labelled as such and should be treated as indicative only.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Session definitions.<\/strong> Defined in UTC, with daylight-saving handling described. Most disputes about session behaviour are definitional.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Spread and cost figures<\/strong> are specific to the account and broker used, on the date shown. Yours will differ.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Nothing is guaranteed current.<\/strong> Instrument specifications, contract sizes and trading hours change; always verify with your own broker before sizing a position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4.
